So I guess relationships have been on my mind a lot lately. I'm not sure why but oh well, here's some more advice. ;)

So you meet someone you really like but you find out they _______ (fill in the blank). Whether it be smoking, drinking, have a crooked tooth, or you can't stand their relative. You can't try to change them. They are the only one that can decide if they want to change or not.

Let's say its smoking. I've dated my share of guys that smoke, it's not my favorite thing but I have never and will never ask a guy to quit for me. First of all they will blame you if you ask them. And second they are the only one that can decide to quit. I had a guy I dated who knew I didn't like it so he said he would quit. I told him if you want to quit do it for you not for me because I'm not asking you to. So he tried to kept saying he was going to but he never did. Which was fine with me. He smoked before I met him, and he still smokes to this day. I didn't try to change him because I liked him the way he was smoking and all. I'm kinda crazy and accept people flaws and all. I may not like their flaws but its what makes them who they are. We all have flaws it's what makes us human and what makes us different from everyone else.

Have a great day!

Son's of Pitches

Posted by Elizabeth at 1:04 PM
My brother plays on a softball team with a bunch of his friends. They voted on names and came up with a very unique name Son's of Pitches. I thought they were joking at first but then I saw the jerseys and the logo make it that much more funny!!

It's especially funny when the parents start yelling Come On You Son's Of Pitches!!!! They have the most fans and the loudest fans at every game. I went to my first game last night and I hope I get to go to more before my brother leaves.

This is my brother and me. Isn't he handsome! Who do you think is older?

Hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday!

There's a Purpose

Posted by Elizabeth at 6:31 PM
I recently saw this tweet

It is how I've always felt about relationships. I'm the pickiest person you will ever meet when it comes to the guy I date. I don't want just anyone I want someone who compliments me and is my equal.

Now I think communication is key to a good relationship. If you like someone then talk to them, that lets them know you're interested. Ignoring someone can be taken the wrong way. And a little tip guys if a girl texts you and you don't respond for awhile she's gonna think you don't want to talk to her anymore. If you're busy then take 3 seconds and tell her, then when you have time call or text her. Guys another tip girls like guys to contact them first and chase them. Kinda like in kindergarten when guys would chase the girls during recess. I want a guy to chase me but if I want to talk to a guy I will text first because I like to live in the moment.

Now I have to add the reason I feel like someone isn't interested if they haven't responded to me within a few days or at least a week, is because that's what has happened to me in past relationships. Guys just stop talking to me randomly for no apparent reason. I understand that you don't like hurting someone but I would much rather someone say hey I don't see this going anywhere so let's be friends. Or maybe they don't want to be friends but I would rather someone tell me then ignore me. I'm one to dwell and blame myself, I assume that I must have done something somehow. It also hurts and honestly it's a respect thing.

I have talked to many guys and girls about relationships and some agree with me and some don't. But that whats so awesome because everyone's different and they see things differently. I read a book called the 5 Love Languages, here's the website http://www.5lovelanguages.com/ Check it out take the quiz and see what your love language is, it's important for relationships, friendships, coworkers, family, etc.. One of mine is quality time, I like for someone to hang out and pay attention to me basically. So go see what's your love language.

Single by Choice

Posted by Elizabeth at 11:23 AM
I have been asked so many times lately, "Why are you single?" Or when I say I'm single people say, "I don't understand why you are single!" Well the reason I'm single is because I'm picky. I'm picky in the sense that I'm not a serial dater. I will not date a guy that I can't see marrying. If he isn't husband material then I just won't date him. I'm not a one night stand kinda girl. My last relationship was 3 years ago and I think I may have gone on one date since then. I'm happy being single because I know one day I will find my future husband so what's the rush.

I do get asked out sometimes but most of the time I just don't see it going anywhere besides friends. I am the type of person to be blunt and up front about liking someone or not liking someone that way. The reason why is because I don't want to waste their time when I know its not going anywhere but the friend zone. I also don't want to waste my time honestly. I work a lot and mostly at night so for me to have a night off and actually go out on a date is a HUGE thing. I am giving up seeing my friends that I rarely get to see, hanging out with my family, or doing something I want to do.

I'm not picky in the sense that I have a list of things I want in a guy. I just know what I like and what I don't like in a guy. The only things I know I want in a guy is for him to be stable, come from a good family, and get a long with my friends and family. I don't think that's too picky but I also have to be attracted to the guy. I like to get to know a guy first and be friends and talk and just get to know each other. If there's a spark then great but if theres not then I made a new friend. I love making new friends but some guys don't like rejection. I don't either and I have been rejected by every single guy I've ever dated. And ya it sucks but it made me who I am today.

So there that's why I'm single and I don't settle for just any guy. My future husband is out there somewhere and when I'm supposed to meet him and date him I will. Until then I will be single and happy being just me.

Have a wonderful day!

xoxo

P.S. I have a crush on someone now so I'm gonna see where it goes. And no I won't say who it is ;)

All I want for Christmas is...

Posted by Elizabeth at 9:41 AM

This year I don't really want too many things. I have put together a top six list of things someone could get me or do for me. So for my friends and family this will really help you!

1. Get my MacBook fixed or even a new to me Macbook (this is the most expensive but don't worry the rest aren't)

2. Homemade gift- anything from an ornament to a piece of jewelry to a painting. I love when someone makes me a gift or a homemade card. These are one of a kind items and I think that is what makes me love them the most!

3. Donate to http://www.isfoundation.com/ . This is a foundation that Ian Somerhalder has started on his birthday that happens to be today actually. The IS Foundation aims to empower, educate & collaborate with people & projects to positively impact the planet and its creatures.

4. Donate to http://www.crowdrise.com/austinnichols or http://www.crowdrise.com/sophiabush Austin Nichols' and Sophia Bush are raising money to help the Gulf. This is a cause close to my heart because I am from Biloxi, MS which is on the Gulf and was effected by the oil. So please donate to one of them.

5. You could do one of the following to support Catch a Dream: monetary contributions, in-kind contributions (services or goods), or by purchasing products from companies that donate a portion of their sales to us like our friends at Foxy Huntress. To learn more about Catch a Dream please go to http://catchadream.org/learn/index.html

6. Donate to any Charity such as St. Jude Children's Research , Adopt an Angel Tree little boy or girl to help out a family in your area, Adpot a family in your area that is less forunate than you, help at a Soup Kitchen, there are so many many more charities and good causes and ways you can get out there and help. Donate if you have the money to, but if you don't then get up and get out there and help in your own community.

So that's it, that's what I want. I hope this has helped my friends and family with picking out my gifts this year.

Merry Christmas and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Forgiveness and Thanksgiving

Posted by Elizabeth at 7:10 PM
I've been thinking about Thanksgiving coming up this week and it made me think of forgiveness.

Forgiveness is something that is either easy for you or hard for you. There's not much of a middle ground on forgiveness. I'm hardheaded when it comes to forgiveness. I won't let someone forgive me until I've forgiven myself so it may take few days before I actually say "I'm sorry", but I when I say it I've earned the right to have that persons forgiveness. I know it sounds silly but I'm extremely hard on myself about everything, but especially letting someone forgive me.

This Thanksgiving I'm thankful for so many things.
-I am thankful for my family (that I can't wait to see later this week)
-I am thankful for my awesome friends (that I need to see ASAP!)
-I am thankful for my loving pets
-I am thankful for my job at Easely Amused. I have the most amazing boss and co-workers. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have these amazing people in my life.
-I am thankful for my new intership on the Out of Bounds ESPN Sports radio show on 105.9 the zone. Bo and Cooper are so much fun to work with.
-I am thankful for the air I breathe
-I am thankful for this Earth
-I am thankful for the food I get to eat
-I am thankful for my house that I own
-I am thankful for the new friends I have in my life.
-I am thankful for the people who help make this awesome world of ours a better place. I hope to find a way to do my part.
-I am thankful for so many things that I can't even think of anything else.

So what are you thankful for? Please feel free to leave a comment telling me what you are thankful for.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

Posted by Elizabeth at 7:56 PM
I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 at midnight on Thursday with Cindy and Ruthie. We had so much fun. First we had to go in search of some coffee, which really was a search. All the coffee houses in the Jackson are close at 10:00pm which is crazy but I understand. So we ended up going to a gas station for a lot less. It was my second cup of coffee in a 4 hours, but I knew I needed it. I was not going to fall asleep in the middle of the movie! So we finally get the theater and take a group picture as a keepsake. Then we decide to go inside because theres a line forming already and its only 10:30. We go to the end of the line and wow are there some people dressed up. I saw two Bellatrix girls, a bunch of girls and guys Gryffindor uniforms, a bunch of people with wands, and even people in pj pants and slippers. I was wearing my "Muggle" tee and I was comfy. The room was buzzing with excitment. You could feel it like it was a tangible thing in the room. The line started to move so I had to start drinking my coffee. I knew I wouldn't finish it so I gave it to Cindy to finish off. When we got in the theater we found seats pretty easily near the top.

I could hear people taking about parts in the book they were hoping would be in the movie. Some where even debating their favorite characters. Cindy, Ruthie, and I were talking more about Unleashed as well as Harry Potter. We hadn't seen each other since Saturday night so we were catching up on everything. I was so happy to have met these two who share my interests and get me even though we just met. We each took turns going to the bathroom before and Cindy got drinks and popcorn for us to share. I just chewed on some gum the whole time because I didn't want to drink anything. I was not gonna miss any of the movie for a bathroom break. As soon as the first commerical came on people started to cheer. I mean who cheers for commericals but everyone knew that meant the movie would be on shortly FINALLY! There were some good previews and some that I was no interested in at all!

The movie starts and a lot of people cheer and clap and...

I'm not spoiling it for anyone. It was a great movie!! Some lines were straight from the books, which I loved! They didn't put everything in, but its a movie and they can't put everything in. I cried, I laughed, I held my breathe, I felt for the characters, and my heart was beating out of my chest during some of the pivotal scenes. All in all I loved the movie and I want to see it again. I know I missed something because there was just so much to see and experience. I can't for Part 2 to come out, wish it wasn't in 3D but oh well.

If you haven't read the books then start reading them NOW! Then start watching the movies. The books are always better because they go into more detail. But I do have to say I love the movies. Its nice to see the books come alive on screen.

Have a wonderful day!
xoxo
